Three Things #2

For all of your wonderful Southern Hemisphere friends and family – Spring has finally sprung (apologies Northerners, but Winter is coming). Since the sun has finally starting to shine again it has not only boosted our spirits, but also the creativity and life lessons our kids are teaching us!

Let’s get into this week’s Three Things we’ve been taught by kids…

Thing One – Year One Boy

While on yard duty I was suddenly mobbed by a couple of Year One kids…

“Why would you say excuse me, when you can hug someone and say squeeze me?!”

It’s true – a bear hug is pretty hard to beat.

Thing Two – Year Six Girl

It doesn’t take big statements or actions to make people feel special…

“When I’m at school it feels like I belong when the teachers all know my name…it only takes a small thing like that to make school feel like a home from home”

A name is what helps us stand out from everyone else.

Thing Three – Year Two Boy

Sometimes we just need to reframe things to see them for what they are…

A fart is just a sneeze people don’t really understand”

I’d still prefer kids to simply sneeze in class.
